Valicor has released its second annual Sustainability Report, reflecting the progress we have made as we continue strengthening our commitment to environmental stewardship, circularity, and responsible growth. Our 2025 report outlines the tangible steps we have taken to reduce environmental impact, enhance safety across our operations, and support the communities where we live and work.

Sustainability as the Foundation of Our Work

Sustainability is not an initiative, but rather it's the purpose behind our business. Our entire operation is designed to help protect natural resources, reduce waste, and support our partners and customers in meeting increasingly complex environmental responsibilities. Throughout 2024, we advanced this purpose by improving recovery, recycling, and waste management across our network.

Key highlights include:

• Processing 300+ million gallons of wastewater
• Recovering 93% of water from oily wastewater and leachate services
• Recycling over 20 million gallons of waste oil, avoiding an estimated 51,200 metric tons of CO₂e emissions
• Diverting 16.2 million pounds of material from landfills
• Increasing recovery of plastics, aerosols, cardboard, soap, and other materials

These achievements illustrate how our operations directly contribute to a cleaner planet and more sustainable industrial processes.

Advancing Circular Solutions for Industry

Circularity remains a central focus of our environmental strategy. By recovering valuable materials from complex waste streams, we help customers reduce reliance on virgin resources, increase efficiency, and minimize disposal.

In 2024, our circular solutions program delivered measurable impact:

• 13 million+ pounds of soap reused
• 1.8 million+ pounds repackaged and resold to customer specifications
• 614,000 pounds of alcohol recovered
• 1.47 million pounds of plastic recycled
• 1.43 million pounds of aerosols recycled

Additionally, we processed 824 tons of material through Waste-to-Energy facilities, helping transform non-recyclable waste into usable energy.

Prioritizing Safety Across Our Operations

Safety is a core value and an essential component of our sustainability approach. Through ongoing training, operational oversight, and continual improvement, we work to ensure a safe workplace for every employee.

This past year:

• Employees completed 4,759 hours of safety and compliance training
• We implemented camera monitoring systems across our fleet to encourage safer driving behaviors
• Our total recordable incident rate remained consistently below industry averages
• Every employee maintained full “stop work” authority to prevent unsafe operations

Our Goal Zero program (developed with our Safety Committee) reinforces a culture in which safety awareness and accountability are embedded into daily operations.

Supporting Our People and Communities

Sustainability also includes social responsibility and the support we provide to our employees and local communities.

In 2024:

• 18 employees received financial assistance through Valicor Cares during unforeseen personal hardships
• 73% of employees participated in our annual engagement survey
• 97% completed performance reviews
• We expanded access to professional development through LinkedIn Learning and continued offering tuition reimbursement
• We partnered with Reading High School to deliver financial literacy education to approximately 90 students

These efforts strengthen our workplace culture, enhance employee development, and contribute positively to the communities we serve.

Upholding the Highest Standards of Governance

Strong governance is essential to delivering reliable and responsible environmental services. In 2024, we reinforced our commitment to ethical conduct, data protection, and operational resiliency.

Notable achievements include:

• Zero historical data breaches through our comprehensive cybersecurity program
• Continued signing of the Code of Business Conduct for all new employees
• Six strategic acquisitions since 2020, with a focus on cultural alignment and environmental responsibility
• A low voluntary turnover rate of 10.4%, significantly below industry averages

We also expanded our participation in global sustainability dialogue by joining the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and contributing to its inaugural CMO Forum.

In 2026 and beyond, we will continue investing in technology, strengthening our resiliency, and expanding our footprint and capabilities to meet the evolving needs of our customers and communities.
